• Ironhand has at his site two tutorials for those of us that end up in pieces trying to land after a successful mission ...

• VIDEO :: Su-25T: VFR (Visual Flight Rules) Landing
Anyone who has spent more than 3 seconds in a RUSFOR cockpit notices the absence of a flight path marker on the HUD. For those of you transitioning from AMFOR aircraft, that lack can be especially disconcerting when making a visual landing.
This tutorial assumes a basic knowledge of the Su-25T's instrumentation. Using the short runway (20) at Sochi-Adler, the tutorial walks you through the steps of a successful landing sans ILS with a short final. Starting altitude and distance as well as landing speed, sink rate, and HUD sight picture are discussed.
• VIDEO :: Carrier Quals: Landing
Video rendering of the original LOMAC tutorial. What you see here applies to the Su-33 as flown in both LOMAC and Flaming Cliffs. While the Flaming Cliffs Su-33 ILS HUD cues are a bit different than those of LOMAC V1.02, the basics remain the same.
This tutorial assumes a basic familiarity with the Su-33's ILS HUD mode and basic cockpit instrumentation. It's goal is to teach you to land safely aboard the Admiral Kuznetsov using the ADI and ILS. You will learn some of the "dos" and "don'ts" of carrier landings.

• VIDEO :: POP-UP AND DIVE-TOSS BOMBING
Since Dive-Toss bombing is so much fun, I decided to do a version of my own. Dive-Toss is best utilized in fast jets because you can impart much more momentum to the unguided ordnance. This allows you to reach out and kill the target from greater distances than in slow movers such as the A-10.
The technique is demonstrated and both it's advantages and disadvantages are discussed.

• VIDEO :: Spin Recovery: Get Me Out of This Brick
We've all been there. You're hard on a bandit's tail, cranking a high-G turn and suddenly your aircraft stops flying and starts spinning toward the ground. This tutorial teaches you how to regain control. All you need is altitude under you rather than above you.
• VIDEO :: INTERPRETING AND USING THE A-10's RWR (RADAR WARNING SYSTEM)
This tutorial introduces you to the A-10's AN/ALR-69 Radar Warning Receiver. This model of the RWR provides you with both general and specific information about the radars painting you, their bearing relative to your aircraft, and their signal strength. The goal of this training mission is to help you learn to interpret and use that information effectively.
• VIDEO :: Flying Online: A Beginner's Guide to Getting There
Want to fly online? Not sure how to get there? This tutorial teaches you how to connect both on your own and through the Ubisoft and Hyperlobby game servers. You'll learn not only how to join an existing game but also how to host games of your own. What you learn here is applicable to both LOMAC V1.02 and Flaming Cliffs V1.12a. Along the way you'll learn about some potential roadblocks (firewalls, etc) and some comms software that will heighten your experience and add to your enjoyment.

• VIDEO :: OUTMANEUVERING SAMs
This training mission demonstrates the use of three-dimensional space to escape enemy Surface to Air Missiles (SAMs). Rather than presenting you with a single definitive technique, this mission will help you to understand how SAMs work and the basic principles for defeating them. In this flight you will be challenged by a Tunguska SA-19 Air Defense System (ADS) battalion protecting a tank regiment on the move.

Chris Warren is back with an excellent demonstration of Pop-up and Dive-Toss bombing.
